This Camp gives students an accessible introduction to how rock started, featuring all the subgenres of Rhythm and Blues: Soul (Northern and Southern), Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, Gulf Coast Blues as well as early proto-Rock and Roll
CAMP DETAILS
The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll. The British Invasion bands like the Rolling Stones (who are named after a Muddy Waters song) took the Blues and turned them up to 11. Campers will learn the importance of the Blues and explore the music of Howlin Wolf, Bo Diddley, Big Mama Thornton and many others. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction. SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR SOR STUDENTS.
CANCELATION POLICY
Due to the special circumstances this year has imposed on everyone, we will be offering a 100% refund on cancelations done up to 7 days prior to the camp start date.
