Our Experienced Music Instructors

School of Rock West Broward’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. From singing to drums to guitar, our Davie music instructors inspire and teach students to perform live.

Christopher Bromley Music Director

Christopher Bromley is a jack-of-all-trades who has lived and breathed music from birth. An adamant follower of the thought that instruments are merely avenues of expression for the one true universal language, he prides himself on learning and adapting styles from all manner of instruments, be it stringed, percussion or brass. He attended the Berklee College of Music, is a graduate of the School of Rock program and a former AllStar. He's had the honor of playing with many great acts/people, from Ga-in to Victor Wooten and Adrian Belew. He is a member of several bands, of which he thinks the most aptly named is Two Dudes and a Guitar and worst named is Youth in Asia. He is a fan of Mariah Carey, Jeff Buckley and fried Oreos. He enjoys long walks on the beach, but enjoys teaching within the musician's haven that is School of Rock even more so.

Seth Bailen Drum Teacher

Seth Bailen has a Bachelors of Music from Florida Atlantic University where he majored in Commercial Music Technology. It was there that he learned to play jazz and played in the FAU Jazz Band. Seth has played with an eclectic mix of bands and artists ranging in styles from classical, jazz and funk to reggae, alternative rock and heavy metal. He has performed everywhere from The House of Blues in Boston opening for punk bands like NOFX and Anti-Flag to the Florida Strawberry Festival drumming with singer Michaela Paige from the TV show "The Voice" to opening for country music star Blake Shelton. Through it all, he has held down weekly jazz/funk gigs at South Florida restaurants as well as the casino at The Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, FL. Seth is also proficient at piano, guitar and bass, and has recently released an EP with his punk project R.V.U. entitled "In The Middle Of The Night." Recording and being a music teacher are also two of his passions.

Robert Sherber Bass Guitar Teacher

Robert Sherber started his musical journey with bass lessons at the age of 14. By the age of 16 his career as a professional musician was launched, playing popular songs in local venues. Robert attended Dillard School of the Arts and was a member of the school’s Commercial Music Ensemble. In 2005 Robert was hired as a sideman for TK recording artist Clarence Reid, which led to six tours of the United States and Canada, including performances at the CMJ Music Conference in New York City and the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. In 2010 Robert was asked to perform in Australia with Mr. Reid at the Big Day Out festival, which included stops in Auckland, New Zealand and the Australian coast. After earning his Bachelors degree in jazz performance from Florida International University, Robert was hired as an instructor for School of Rock, teaching his love for music at two of the school’s locations. This summer found Robert completing his second tour with blues guitarist Joel Dasilva. This fall Robert is continuing his studies in jazz as a graduate student at FIU. Robert continues to fuel his passion for music, currently dividing his time between his studies, live performances and his students.

Deja Monteagudo Singing Teacher

Deja began singing at the age of five. From coffee shops in NJ to bars in New York City, Deja began performing everywhere she could, covering female rock stars like Joan Jett and Pat Benatar. After moving to Florida, Deja began to build relationships in the industry as well as a fan base, which led to her opening for Jake Miller (Warner Bros. artist) in 2013 and performing on Pitbull's Mega Stage at Calle Ocho, and performing at music festivals like Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival, Sunfest and Florida Music Fest. Deja majored in Music in college and was a student of Anita Wilson, Ginger Salem and Michelle Ameerally. You can see her performing around town as the lead vocalist for the band Yardij.
