Logan Vanover Singing Teacher, Piano Teacher
Logan is a classical musician who also loves rock. He is a clarinetist and vocalist with a degree in Music Education from Appalachian State University. He began his musical training when he joined the middle school band on clarinet at age 11. Since then, he fell in love with all sorts of musical styles and artists. His favorite classical composer is Mozart, and his favorite rock band is The Eagles. Throughout his musical career, he has performed in many types of ensembles including rock bands, jazz bands, wind ensembles, orchestras and choirs. Logan has a deep passion for watching children and adolescents become the best people they can be. Logan’s biggest hobbies outside of work are playing "Magic: The Gathering" and singing karaoke.
Matt Grady Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Matt Grady is a Raleigh native and highly active musician through the Southeastern US. At 18 he went on the road with local soul and jazz legend Puncho Forrest and has in the decades since been a part of a diverse array of musical acts through central NC. Guitar, bass, vocals and songwriting are the skills Matt equally divides among the various bands, artists and churches he plays for. He currently plays bass and sings in The Sunday Special, a group that combines hook-driven pop songwriting with funky gospel musicianship and creativity. You can catch Matt and the band playing many of the finest venues and hottest festivals around including The Pour House, Motorco, The Art of Cool Festival and the NC State Fair. He brings nearly a decade of practical teaching experience to the table and has specialized in coaching young musicians and bands into the highest levels of performance and song craft. Matt's students have performed at The Lincoln Theatre, the NC State Fair, and numerous city-wide festivals and special events to crowds of thousands. Matt lives in Raleigh with his high school sweetheart and wife Krystal and their two kids, Maceo and Josephine.
Gennie Raybon Singing Teacher
Gennie is a vocalist with a wide range of styles. She has been singing since she was a little girl and started out in church. She did choir all throughout elementary school and high school. She was also in musical theater all four years of high school. She knows what it takes to perform. This all led her to becoming a Voice major in college, where she trained classically and got many years of experience. She knew she had a niche for something else and joined a funk/soul/ R&B band known as The Sunday Special. She is currently doing what she loves and wants to give kids the opportunity that she didn't have with a performance-based education.
Santel Reid Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher
Santel Reid started his music career at the age of six playing the piano in church. He first started playing at church and other events in the community in Pikeville, NC. He later graduated high school and went to study music at NCCU in Durham, NC. During his time there, he studied Jazz and Music Theory. After spending a few years there, he then relocated to Raleigh, NC and started a band called The Sunday Special. This band has performed throughout the Triangle. Some of the venues include Motorco, Lincoln Theatre, Pour House Music Hall, Blue Note Grill, etc. Santel’s skillset brings old fashion funk and gospel with a mix of new contemporary music. He now resides in Wilson, NC with his wife Danielle and daughter, Roscilyn.
