The Performance Program is School of Rock’s flagship program for students ages 10 through 18, and it combines a weekly private lesson with a weekly rehearsal. At the end of each season, we put our students on stage in a real rock venue to amaze their family and friends with an awesome rock show!

Modern Indie -- Mondays 5pm

This show will highlight some of the amazing music that’s come out recently by artists like Britney Howard, Haim, Silk Sonic, and Black Pumas. We’ll explore elements of a variety of musical styles as they’ve been interpreted by some of today’s most compelling artists in rock and pop music. Recommended for all students!

Funk, Soul & Reggae -- Wednesdays 5pm

This show will give students the opportunity to learn some of the most influential grooves and musical idioms in popular music. Most if not all of the hit songs of the last few decades have used elements of these musical styles, and the lessons students will learn through the rhythms, harmony and melodic styles in Funk, Soul and Reggae music are critical for a well rounded current musician to understand. Recommended for all students!

The Black Keys vs The White Stripes -- Thursdays 5pm

These two bands took a fresh take on guitar rock starting in the early ‘00s, blending 70s rock attitude and tone with modern songwriting to produce some of the biggest hits of the last two decades. Recommended for all students, this show is an especially good choice for beginner and intermediate students looking to build proficiency on their instrument and confidence on stage!

Radiohead -- Fridays 5pm

Radiohead’s music spans guitar rock, electronic art rock, avant garde noise and all points in between while still managing to create evocative and relatable songs throughout their musical evolution. This is a great show for intermediate and advanced students who are ready to learn more about creating textures as a band and hone their ear for harmony and dynamics!

80s Synth Rock -- Saturdays 11am

Following the popularity of the synthesizer in the ‘70s, ‘80s pop and rock artists like Duran Duran, A-Ha and Cyndi Lauper put the sounds of the synthesizer front and center, and the production style and sounds of that time are back! Students in this show will play some of the mega-hits of 80s pop and rock music. Recommended for all students!

We're scheduling these groups individually for each student. Current families, your weekly lesson and rehearsal time will stay the same for the Summer season unless you let us know you'd like to change times. New families, get in touch and we'll help you get started!
