All of School of Rock SW Austin’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.
Alex Vallejo Director of Operations
Alex Vallejo is best known as the drummer of the award-winning Austin, Texas rock band VALLEJO.
Aside from performing in his band VALLEJO, Alex is also the VP of Austin music production label VMG (Vallejo Music Group), board member and artist consultant at the Austin Music Foundation, operations director for School Of Rock (Southwest Austin/Round Rock, TX), co-founder of the Pachanga Latino Music Festival, sits on the advisory board of EQ Austin and is also a partner and talent buyer for EPS Presents.
Aric Garcia Manager and Drum Teacher
Austin musician and Texas native, Aric Garcia, has been playing drums since he was 4 years old and has almost 30 years experience. He was voted as 'Top 10 Drummers in Austin' for the past two years in Austin Chronicle Music Awards.
For the last 15 years, he has been experimenting in performance, musical form, session drumming, engineering, and producing. He can also sing, play guitar, bass, piano, and synthesizers. His most recent achievement has been engineering an album that was included in 'Top 100 albums in Austin in 2018' earning him a 2019 SXSW Showcase.
Alex Camet Music Director, Guitar and Bass Guitar Teacher
Alejandro “Alex” Camet is originally from Mexico, and attended The Art institute of Austin where he studied a bachelor’s degree in audio production. Alex also attended many different music schools in Mexico including Canzion Institute.
He plays Guitar, bass, drums, vocals, piano. He currently plays with his band Black Noize and his solo project, Alejandro’s music influences includes Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Molotov, Cafe Tacuba, John Mayer, and Guns and Roses.
Vinnie Ambrosone Drum Teacher
Vinnie Ambrosone was born and raised in Corning, NY. His father was a professional Jazz drummer who encouraged Vinnie to pursue his dream of playing drums professionally. After graduating from high school, Vinnie started earning money for playing out and then becoming a professional drummer to this day. After honing his skills with cover bands and playing original music throughout the northeast, Vinnie moved to Austin, Texas in 1999 to further pursue his dreams.
As a result of this move, Vinnie began to meet and work with many professional musicians covering genres like Rock, Blues, Americana, Funk and Country. In 2004 Vinnie was asked to audition for the legendary Bill Hamm of ZZ Top fame. Vinnie worked as a touring country/rock drummer for Bill and performed in arenas and stadiums opening for the likes of Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Big & Rich, Diamond Rio and many other Texas regional acts. There are many artists he has performed with over the years and continues to perform throughout Texas and the Southwest.
With over 30 years of touring and recording, Vinnie brings a vast knowledge of experience and he is dedicated to helping the students of The School Of Rock pursue the same dreams he had as a kid. Currently Vinnie is teaching drums at The School Of Rock SW Austin, Texas.
Robert Wagner Guitar, Piano and Singing Teacher
Robert Wagner is a very well respected blues/rock singer from Austin, Texas that comes from a long history of rock 'n roll. Robert has forged his own path fronting popular Texas bands such as Brother Love, Rogue Collective and the award-winning cover band Suede. His father was iconic rock musician Dick Wagner, who was the guitar player and songwriter for rock legends such as Alice Cooper, Lou Reed and Kiss.
It's safe to say that Robert Wagner is the guy you want to be learning vocals and guitar from. Saving rock 'n roll one kid at a time.
Sami Serrano Studio Coordinator
Uniquely situated at the crossroads of futuristic R&B and cigarette smoked jazz halls, Sami Serrano is a dynamic talent with an alluring voice and a sharp ear for arrangements. Despite not even being old enough to enter most of its clubs, Sami has made a noticeable impact in the Austin music scene already, both with her single releases and her production credits for other artists, as well as collaborations with artists ranging from Bronze Whale to Kady Rain. She is our Studio Coordinator at School of Rock SW Austin.
