Brad Torres Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher, Drum Teacher, Vocal Instructor

By the time Brad Torres graduated high school, he had already spent a season in the Kansas City Youth Symphony as a concert tubist, he had performed theatrically in several leading roles at the Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park for crowds of thousands, he’d traveled to London to march with a band in the New Year’s Parade and he’d sung at the Kansas City Music Hall with his best-of-state award-winning barbershop quartet.
Seeking a future as a composer, Brad began attending the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri, Kansas City with scholarships in music, theatre and academics. There, he pursued a degree in Musical Theatre with an emphasis in theory and tonal composition.

Brad started giving regular music instruction at School of Rock Sugar Land in December 2016. He served as the General Manager from March of 2017 to September of 2018. He was quickly promoted to Studio Coordinator and Show Director, and then Asst. General Manager. Randy Rost Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher, Drum Teacher, Vocal Instructor

Randy Rost was born in Houston, Texas. Music has played a very important role in his life since he began playing the guitar at 10 years old. He took private lessons and apprenticed under the teaching of jazz guitarist Gary Kent, where he learned the fundamentals of music theory, composition and reading music. At age 14, Rost started his first band and quickly began booking and performing shows. Inspired by the DIY ethics of many of their predecessor musicians, the band began recording their own records, manufacturing their CDs and vinyl records, publishing their own music and distributing it through their own record label. At 17, he was proficient at bass, drums and vocals. Randy’s guitar teacher offered him a job as a guitar teacher at the very same guitar shop that he himself took lessons at. He continued teaching guitar lessons there for several years, developing a very high success rate methodology.

In 2012, a friend told Rost about the School of Rock being a really amazing and innovative music education facility. After looking into the company, Rost applied and was hired as a multi-instrumentalist instructor and show director at School of Rock Katy. He quickly began overseeing all of the Performance, Rock 101, Adult Band and House Band groups at the school. In 2016 he was promoted to Music Director for School of Rock Rockwall. His dedication was instrumental in bringing success and growth to this location as well. Currently, Randy Rost is still enjoying the reward of teaching others how to play music as the Music Director of School of Rock Sugar Land. He is also a guitar teacher, bass guitar teacher, piano teacher, drum teacher and vocal instructor.
