Come play hits from the 80s by learning songs from artists like Van Halen, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith in the School of Rock 80's Rock Summer Camp! This REMOTE camp will be held via Zoom.

The 80s brought us a wave of new sounds and genres and produced hits that still the rock the airwaves today. In this camp we'll perform hits from artists like Van Halen, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith! 

 

Please note: this is an online camp, which will be conducted via Zoom. Remote camps will include young musicians from all over the United States. It's a great way to stay safe and socially-distanced, and make some new friends at the same time!

 

SCHEDULE

• Monday - Wednesday: campers learn and practice songs. This will include time for charting, breakout rooms by instrument, a primer on recording best practices, and more!
• Thursday: campers will make their final recordings
• Friday: we'll be broadcasting a concert of the campers' songs, and you not only have the best seat in the house....you have as many seats as you want!

EQUIPMENT

Students need a device to record their song parts for the creation of a full band recording. This can be as simple as a mobile phone with voice memo recording or a DAW such as GarageBand, ProTools, Logic, etc. 

Students also need access to their primary instrument at home, and reliable internet.

PREREQUISITES

This camp is for students age 10-18 with basic proficiency on their instrument. For students not currently enrolled in School of Rock, a brief assessment is required. This is extremely quick and easy, can be completed via Zoom, and can be scheduled after you've booked your camp. To schedule your assessment, please call the school at (651) 292-1917. There's no charge, and we'll be more than happy to get you set up!
