Join us for this introduction to the African American artists that influenced English bands of the British Invasion.
More Camp Information
Much of the great music that defines Rock and Roll culture can be attributed to or is known to be heavily influenced by African American artists throughout the 20th century. In this important camp, students delve into the historical context of the British Invasion and early Rock and Roll where we identify and celebrate the contribution of Black artists in Blues and Soul. Our Roots of Rock camp will primarily focus on Northern and Southern Soul, Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, and Gulf Coast Blues. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and rehearsing songs culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. Great for students 7-12 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
You can sign up and pay for all of our camps online. You can also sign up by giving us a call at 916-860-7625. If you would like to sign up for one of our camps or take advantage of one of our Camp Sales, but you would rather pay over time, rather than pay one lump sum, then give us a call and we can set up a payment plan that works for you.
