School of Rock Rancho Santa Margarita’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. From singing to drums to guitar, our Rancho Santa Margarita music instructors inspire and teach students to perform live.

General Manager

Jeremy Grinacoff General Manager

Jeremy Grinacoff is a guitar player, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumental musician and a producer. Originally from Long Island, New York, Jeremy started working at School Of Rock Roslyn in 2010. There he acted as General Manager, Studio Coordinator, Multi- Instrumental Instructor and Show Director.

Receiving his Bachelor of Arts from The State University of New York, College at Oneonta in Music Industry, Music and Music Performance, Jeremy gained knowledge in a wide range of musical genres including blues, rock, pop, classical, jazz and funk. While at Oneonta, Jeremy studied music composition with Grammy-nominated producer, musician and composer Jeremy Wall, a founding member of the jazz fusion band Spyro Gyra. After graduating, Jeremy started his music career playing New York City venues.

In July 2015, Jeremy re-located to California to pursue music full time and is excited to continue sharing his knowledge with the School Of Rock community.

Johnny Oskam Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, Singing Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher

Johnny Oskam is an independent blues/rock solo artist from Orange County, California. With over five years of experience in music, Johnny has established himself as a talented guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer, writing his own songs and producing his own albums. He and his band have performed at many shows in Orange and LA County, including many opening slots for international touring acts such as Robin Trower, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and UFO. Johnny is a very open and caring person who finds joy in sharing his knowledge and experience with others and seeing them grow, not only as musicians but as people. His positive attitude and humble approach to teaching makes his students feel comfortable, yet inspired to learn more. The most important lesson Johnny hopes to share with his students is having a positive attitude and a passion for being the best musician they can be. His expertise extends further than just guitar-playing, music theory and songwriting. Johnny’s knowledge includes years of experience with leading a band, playing live in front of large audiences, maintaining positive relationships, producing records, the legal environment of music and more.
Studio Coordinator

Sarah Mehta Studio Coordinator

Sarah is a church vocalist and volunteer ministry leader at Saddleback Church, Lake Forest and The Crossing Church, Costa Mesa. Her inspiration for music performance stemmed from both her elementary music director Ben, and her older brother Jason. Ben started mentoring Sarah at age five in the basics of vocal instruction and performance, while her brother Jason sparked her interest in rock music through playing both the acoustic and electric guitar around the house. Sarah’s favorite genres of music are classic rock, hard rock, blues and worship. Some of her favorite bands include The Police, Bread, The Monkees, Foreigner, The Beatles, ACDC, For King & Country and The Black Keys.

In addition to her personal background in music, Sarah’s professional career passions are in both ministry and business administration. Sarah has had experience leading both junior high and high school students in her local community for over five years at her two churches, and she holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration while presently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Cal State Fullerton University.

Sam Hooks Drum Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher

Sam grew up in southern Orange County until attending college at Oregon State. Upon graduation, Sam moved back to California to pursue his music career. Studying music for almost 10 years, he started out playing drums, guitar and keyboards while playing in several different bands. He is a multi-instrumentalist and focuses on writing, performing and teaching. Sam is constantly learning and challenging himself and continues to instill that mindset in each of his students.
