FOLK ROCK SUNDAYS 12:00-2:00 PM 

Folk music is known for its heartfelt and significant lyrics paired with mesmerizing melodies and we’re excited to highlight some of the best folk artists from the 60’s through today like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, CSNY, The Mamas and the Papas, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Tom Petty, Simon & Garfunkel, The Band, and more recent artists like Brandi Carlile, The Head & The Heart, The Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes, and Wilco. 

 

ABBA VS. BEE GEES SUNDAYS 2:00-4:00 PM

Dust off your dancing shoes because we’re bringing you two of the best disco groups ever in one show! ABBA is one of the best selling music groups of all time with hits like Waterloo, Dancing Queen and Mama Mia. The Bee Gees captivated us with some of the tightest three part harmonies ever. Songs like Stayin Alive, How Deep is Your Love, and  More than a Woman.

 

SOUL REVUE SUNDAYS 4:00-6:00 PM

Calling all Groove Machines! This show will be challenging, fun & educational. Get ready to dig into soul tunes from the early days of the genre with artists including Etta James, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Al Green  & Aretha Franklin and more. Plus artists heavily influenced by early soul music: Lauren Hill, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Sade, Leon Bridges.

 

HISTORY OF PUNK SUNDAYS 6:00-8:00 PM

Punk emerged in the mid-1970s and rejected everything about mainstream music with short, fast-paced songs with hard-edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and shouted lyrics. This show will be a history of punk music touching on bands like Black Flag, Ramones, Bad Brains, The Runaways, Dead Kennedys, Green Day, The Clash, Misfits, Bad Region + more. THE ROLLING STONES TUESDAYS 4:30-6:30 PM

From the  front lines of the British Invasion to selling out stadiums, The Stones have remained relevant and rocking for 60 years! Throughout their legendary career, this iconic band has been a symbol of the rock and roll lifestyle - from youthful rebellion to lifelong rockstars. 

 

GOTH ROCK TUESDAYS 6:30-8:30 PM

 Let’s get dark. Emerging from the dregs of the post-punk genre, Goth Rock uses primarily minor or bass chords, reverb, and dramatic and melancholic melodies. This music has themes of sadness, nihilism, tragedy, and melancholy with a poetic and romanticized view. We’ll be covering the deeply feeling music of bands like Ministry, Joy Division, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nick Cave, Bauhaus, NIN and more.

 PROG ROCK WEDNESDAYS 6:30-8:30 PM 

Originating as "art rock" or "classical rock" (not "classic rock") in the 1960s, this genre has continued to fascinate fans with its ever-changing nature and insanely technical composition, frequently moving from one style, genre, and/or time signature to another. Songs by Yes, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Genesis, Rush, Dream Theater, Gentle Giant, Tool and Can. This is a high Intermediate to advanced show. You must have instructor approval to join.

 

TRIBUTE TO OZZY THURSDAYS 6:00-8:00 PM 

We’re bringing the best of the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, to SOR. This rock icon was the frontman of Black Sabbath which pioneered the creation of heavy metal. Take a trip to the dark side learning Sabbath songs like Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, N.I.B, and more! Ozzy also had an amazing solo career with hits like Crazy Train, Mama, I’m Coming Home, Bark at the Moon and so much more! 

 

INDIE ROCK FRIDAYS 4:30-6:30 PM

Indie Rock originated as a way for artists to break free from releasing music through traditional record label avenues and has become a super diverse genre with tons of stylistic variation. This show will be a fun challenge for all instruments. Think Pixies, REM, Violent Femmes, Throwing Muses, Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, Belly, The Sundays, etc. alongside more current bands including; The Killers, Angel Olsen, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs & more! 

 

BEST OF THE 90s SATURDAYS 12:00-2:00 PM

The 90s were one of music’s most important decades as grunge and alternative music took over the airwaves and popular culture with R&B & pop not far behind. Come celebrate bands like Nirvana, No Doubt, Alanis Morrisette, Pearl Jam, Hole, Green Day, Weezer, TLC and many more.

STRANGER THINGS SATURDAYS 2:00-4:00 PM

Travel to the Upside Down and back in this show which will focus on the rad soundtrack to Netflix’s beloved series, Stranger Things! This music will have you loving the 80s all over again, playing hits by Metallica, The Clash, Kate Bush, Pat Benetar, Devo, Cyndi Lauper, Journey, and too many more amazing artists to list.

ADULT PROGRAM

 ZOO SOUNDS MONDAYS 8:00-10:00 PM

From dogs to birds to cats, it’s hard to find a day that we go without encountering animals. Musicians and artists have used animals as metaphors for human behavior throughout history. Songs about animal themes incite feelings of fear, love, adventure and everything in between. You’ll get to play songs with animals in the title such as “Hungry Like The Wolf” by Duran Duran, “Fly Like An Eagle” by Steve Miller Band, “Dog Days are Over” by Florence and the Machine, “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John, “When Doves Cry” by Prince and so many more!

 

CLASSIC 70s THURSDAYS 8:00-10:00 PM

This group will explore the best of this amazing era of music. The 1970s saw the emergence of some new music genres that have become staples of the modern era. Punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and soft rock all had their origins in these ten years.  With bands like Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Sly & The Family Stone, Blondie, David Bowie, The Who, Kate Bush, Carly Simon, The Rolling Stones and more!

 

ROCK 101 - FOR BEGINNERS AGE 7-12. HAVE A WEEKLY PRIVATE LESSON & PLAY IN A BAND! CONTACT US FOR IN PERSON & REMOTE CLASS TIMES. 

ROOKIES - FOR 6-7 YEAR OLDS WITH NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. LEARN MUSIC FUNDAMENTALS AND EXPERIMENT WITH INSTRUMENTS.
