Performance Programs take on Recording in the Midst of Shelter In Place

We are extremely excited to announce a major enhancement to our Rehearsal Check-ins and a new way for our students to experience musical collaboration. Students will be recording themselves playing their parts through primarily audio, but also video. These recordings will be critical tools used to measure progress and will result in a full-band recording that our students get to keep!

This process reinforces the skills needed to perform with other musicians. For more detailed information, please read through this GUIDE.

With social distancing becoming the new norm, School of Rock is constantly searching for new and exciting ways to teach musical collaboration. Since the start of the shelter in place order, we have shifted to teaching our students the value of recording as a practice tool. However, a well rounded musician must focus beyond the practice room. A well rounded musician needs goals. Because of this, School of Rock Naperville is excited to announce that we will be recording our very first album featuring our talented, hardworking, and dedicated Rock 101 and Performance students!

In lieu of a live performance, due to the restrictions on group gatherings that will likely be in place for several more months, we will host an end of season Listening Party where we will debut the Recording Project each show will create.  This will take place on June 26st at 7:00PM. Friends and family are invited to join us to hear the recordings, and students can have the recognition they deserve for their hard work, especially during this unique and challenging time.
