Inspired by "Guitar Hero" and his mother's expansive record collection, Arturo Arbelaez took a guitar and began learning from as many different teachers and sources as he could. He eventually found a home at School of Rock Miami and has since become a teacher and made passing on the knowledge and love for music his priority. Bass and guitar are his specialties, but he has an in-depth understanding of music theory and songwriting.
Mario FontesGuitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Mario performs in local Miami bands spanning the folk rock, power pop and punk rock genres. While attending Berklee College of Music, Mario spent four years studying jazz and classical theory, ear training and bass guitar technique with a special focus on songwriting. Given his specific field of study, he approaches musicianship from a heavily songwriting-influenced standpoint and emphasizes the importance of understanding as many different styles of music as possible. He is excited to be a part of the School of Rock Miami family and help kids become the musicians they want to be!
