School of Rock Macarthur’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. From singing to drums to guitar, our Campbelltown music instructors inspire and teach students to perform live.
Benjamin MartinDrum Teacher
Ben has been with School of Rock since it opened in 2014 first as a student and now as an instructor. He was an active member of House Band and toured internationally throughout the United States as a School of Rock OzStar. He studies percussion and drum set at the Australian Institute of Music and has been an in-demand drummer around the Sydney gigging community. His favourite drummers are Anderson .Paak, Bernard Purdie and John Bonham. His favourite artists are Jack White and Led Zeppelin.
Aleisha McLarenStudio Coordinator
Aleisha, whilst not a musician, has been a music fan all her life. She loves seeing our families come into the school and will help with any enquiries you may have. Her favourite band is Paramore.
Meaghan CaddenSinging Teacher
Meaghan started her School of Rock journey as a student who excelled and went on to front Macarthur's House Band and toured the United States on the Blues Highway Tour in 2016. She has a passion for singing and coaching young singers to get the most out of every performance. She is currently studying at the Australian Institute of Music completing her Bachelor in Music (Performance). Her favourite bands are Stone Roses, The Divinyls and Arctic Monkeys. Her favourite vocalist is Chrissy Amphlett.
Rod LawrenceDrum Teacher
Rod is a journey man drummer, having played in bands since in his teens. He is quick with knowledge and music history. He is passionate in passing on his knowledge of music and techniques to make his students complete all-round drummers. He is a lover of music young and old and can still be seen going to shows to support the up-and-coming generation. His favourite band currently is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
