Evan Sula-Goff Music Director
Evan is originally from Ventura, California where he formed his band, 8STOPS7, in 1996. Four albums, 41 songs and 21 years later, they are still together, writing and recording new music and going on the occasional tour. Their music video for “Satisfied” played on MTV’s show "120 Minutes," and they were innovators in licensing their music for multiple video games and television shows. Aside from being a powerhouse singer, he also plays guitar, keyboards, drums and bass. He is inspired by other singers who have maintained their powerful voices for decades, such as Eddie Vedder, Joe Cocker, Stevie Wonder and Chris Cornell. He now lives here in the Midwest with his wife and children, sharing his exceptional wealth of knowledge and encouragement with his all his students. Although he wanted to be a professional breakdancer when he was a kid, he still managed to find his way to the stage with music.
Ben Harris Bass Guitar Teacher
Ben's done studio and club work in New York City. He Studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Ben currently lives in Lee's Summit and regularly performs for corporate and wedding functions. He has also performed with the 2009 Grammy Award Winner for Best Latin Jazz Album, Pianist and Composer Arturo O'Farrill. In the KC metro area Ben is currently playing with the Lee's Summit Symphony and leading a fusion band.
Kurt Carow Piano Teacher
Kurt Carow is a musician, teacher, songwriter, composer and producer. He plays piano, guitar, bass and flute. He has worked with various artists for the last 45 years in all types of formats and musical genres. He performed and co-wrote on CBS recording artist Donnie Miller’s "One of the Boys," released in 1989. He is presently a member of South Side Souls, a blues group based in Kansas City, MO. He is a piano teacher at School of Rock Lee's Summit.
David O'Brien Drum Teacher
David O'Brien became a drum teacher at School of Rock Lee’s Summit in June of 2017 after having been a student at the school for nearly three years. He has gotten to play some cool cities thanks to School of Rock, like Chicago, Detroit, Nashville and Dallas to name a few. School of Rock is a huge part of his life and he is very excited to be here at School of Rock Lee’s Summit.
Rachel Predmore Piano Teacher, Vocal Instructor
Born and raised in mid-Missouri, Rachel Predmore has been singing for as long as she can remember. She started taking piano lessons at age eight and began taking voice lessons at 13. In June of 2015 she began taking country music lessons and started her solo career as Rachel Rose. She has performed in the Springfield/Branson area and released two original songs, one of which was submitted for a contest on an Ozarks radio station and is now on their music rotation. In January 2017 she began teaching at School of Rock Springfield and fell in love with the company and teaching style. In May of 2017, she graduated from Drury University with a Bachelors in Music. She transferred to School of Rock Lee's Summit and loves working with the students and seeing them improve and succeed. She always reminds her students to have fun.
Julie Cobb General Manager
Julie Cobb was once described by her children in three words: cuddly rocker mom. Her lifelong love of singing and listening to wildly diverse genres of music has given her countless opportunities to discuss music and perform for anyone who will listen. She grew up in a musical family, surrounded by country and bluegrass music, and through her babysitters and friends she found rock and roll. As she continued her studies in college, she learned classical and jazz pieces that challenged her to improve and discover new favorites. Julie is the lead singer of Bender, a classic 60s through 90s rock cover band based in the Springfield, MO area. She is proud that this five-piece band has maintained the same line-up for over 10 years, and this milestone proves that music can create and nurture powerful and lasting friendships. Julie loves to share her knowledge and is always excited to help students find their voices at School of Rock Lee's Summit.
Zoe Rohrs Vocal Instructor, Piano Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Zoe Rohrs has been singing and playing piano in bars and venues since the age of 14. She started on clarinet when she was 10 and always held down first chair in her band class. Around her teenage years she started teaching herself piano and after a few months she was eager to take vocal lessons. At 13 she started taking vocal lessons and started teaching herself guitar. At 16 she joined School of Rock Lee’s Summit program to help her understand guitar better. Now she is a guitar, keyboard and vocal teacher at School of Rock Lee’s Summit and fronts two different bands, Metal Roach and The Zoe Roarz Band. She wants to make as much noise as possible and inspire others to do the same.
