Conner Hitchcock has been an active musician since the age of 12, performing at some of the most notable venues along the East Coast with projects and bands playing shows in areas such as Washington DC, Baltimore, The Outer Banks, Milwaukee, Pennsylvania, New York City and Orlando. Working under the alias of Broad Run, Conner has released two solo albums and continues writing and performing live. Conner now devotes his time to teaching and training the next generation of musicians to be professionals on stage and in life.
Connor GallihughGuitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, piano Teacher, Music Director
Connor Gallihugh has been playing music since birth, from bell choirs and musicals, to rock bands and dubstep. Connor has had over 13 releases on various record labels, and continues to compose and record music regularly. He studied Jazz drumming under Grammy Award winner Joe Mccarthy and also studied Electronic Music Production at Berklee. He has been drumming for 10 years and now spends most his time teaching at School of Rock.
Mary ClevengerSinging Teacher, Piano Teacher
Mary Clevenger has been playing music since she was five years old. She started formal training on the piano at six and continues to play to this day. Mary has had 18 combined years of classical training on keyboard, vocals and stringed instruments. She has performed as a vocalist, pianist and violinist since a young age, both solo and with orchestras and choirs. Mary has completed the highest level of music theory training and has enjoyed teaching music to students since high school.
Erich WeinrothGuitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Erich Weinroth is a graduate from George Mason University with a major in Music Technology and a minor in Audio Production and Business. He has been playing both guitar and bass for seven years, mainly focusing on classical guitar and jazz bass, but he always enjoys playing his favorite genres of rock, punk, and ska. He plays bass in his band, Cinema Hearts, which is self-described as “dreamy rock n' roll, doo wop pop” and has played multiple shows locally and in the DC area. Outside of performing, Erich works as an audio engineer in music, theater and film. He has recorded and mixed multiple student musicians, films and live events at GMU, as well as two albums for Cinema Hearts.
Jeff ConwayDrum Teacher, Singing Teacher
Jeff Conway is a self-taught drummer of 16 years and a gigging musician with local band Toad Head of five years. His love of music started with being born into a family of musicians and music lovers of diverse genres. When he first heard Pink Floyd's Nick Mason on the album "Wish You Were Here," he knew he wanted to play drums. Music is a universal language and the ability of artists like Bob Marley or bands like Phish to captivate and inspire has always been the reason music is the favored expression for Jeff. He is excited to share his knowledge and experience with his School of Rock students!
Sam TokashGuitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Samuel Tokash is a multi-instrumentalist guitar player from Marshall, Virginia. Sam graduated from Radford University in 2016 with a degree in Music Business. He has been playing music for over 10 years. During his time at Radford Sam studied classical guitar, recorded, mixed and mastered several bands and even had his own jazz show on Radford's radio station. In his free time Sam likes to compose and record his own music.
Nick KingDrum Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Nick is a graduate of George Mason University, where he studied Music with a specialty in technology. He has studied drums and flute since elementary school and has picked up a variety of other instruments along the way. He is a passionate music enthusiast, beat producer and band member who is excited to spread his knowledge and great appreciation for rock.
Gabriel RodriguezGuitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher
Hjalmar Gabriel Rodriguez, aka Gabriel, was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He has been a musician for about 12 years and graduated from the Juan Morel Campos Music School in Puerto Rico. When it comes to music, he believes having fun and a good time is a must whenever learning, working or playing. He has had the opportunity to teach students a number of instruments and even helped to put together a church band from scratch. Gabriel's main instrument is the guitar, followed by the piano. He loves to teach music and help open the doors to a whole new world of music for students.
Ed HabisPiano Teacher
Edward Habis is a graduate from Shenandoah University Music Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and Piano Performance. Mr. Habis has performed on stage as lead jazz pianist in the Shenandoah Music Conservatory Jazz Ensemble and Big Band under the direction of Alan Baylock and Dr. Craig Fraedrich. He has also performed piano drawing from his own arrangements of video game music into jazz and from his original compositions on influences and development of fictional story telling and visual animation. Ed enjoys teaching rock and jazz music to people of all ages, individually and in groups.
Riley SobieskiGuitar Teacher
Riley has spent the last eight years teaching, touring, performing, songwriting and learning from the local and regional music scenes around the East Coast and Virginia. He studied Classical Guitar at James Madison University and graduated with a Music Industry degree. Riley has toured up and down the East Coast with his band Julia Pox. Riley continues to pursue songwriting and composing while balancing his love for teaching and sharing music.
