School of Rock Fayetteville’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. From singing to drums to guitar, our Fayetteville music instructors inspire and teach students to perform live.
Bea Escobar Owner, General Manager
A resident of Northwest Arkansas for nearly 20 years, and from a musical family, Bea Escobar saw the opportunity to address the unique needs of NWA students wanting performance-based music education. Bringing over 25 years of successful corporate experience and a degree in business, she launched School of Rock Fayetteville in 2016. In Bea’s words, owning a School of Rock is easily the most rewarding and successful enterprise she has ever been a part of. The school is always full of laughter, music and happiness. It’s so much more than just a business to her.
Austin Jewel Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher
The last 10 years for Austin Jewel have consisted of working as a musician, playing shows around the state while spending his summers working as a manager of a summer camp. He found it to be an obvious decision to combine the two things he enjoys most: music and working with kids. Austin loves music and is always trying to widen his musical horizons by listening to as many genres as he can. Being able to share the gift of music and the passion that goes into it is what it’s all about for Austin. He is a guitar teacher, bass teacher and piano teacher at School of Rock Fayetteville.
Cody Nielsen is a musician and music instructor from Fayetteville, AR. Born and raised in Fayetteville, Cody has been playing music locally for almost a decade, and instructs at School of Rock on drums, guitar, bass and keys. He is currently pursuing a Music Composition degree at the University of Arkansas.
Kelsey Petet Piano Teacher, Drums Teacher
Kelsey Petet has been around music for her whole life, and she has been performing for most of it too. Growing up in a family who influenced her musically, it was easy for her to learn several instruments. Starting on drums, she soon picked up piano and guitar as well. Currently she performs with her band at venues around Fayetteville and tours regularly. She is also a Music Business major at the University of Arkansas and is part of the percussion studio and Razorback Marching Band. Kelsey has a love for teaching and showing people how much fun they can have with music. She is a drums and piano teacher at School of Rock Fayetteville.
Kevin Jones Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher, Drums Teacher, Vocal Instructor
As Music Director at School of Rock Fayetteville, Kevin Jones oversees all school music programs, instructors and operations. Growing up in a musical household, there was never a time he wasn't trying to play whatever instrument was laying around. He has loved music ever since he can remember. In the past 12 years living in Fayetteville, Kevin has been in many different musical environments. He was in the University of Arkansas Marching Band and is the current organist at Razorback baseball games. He graduated from the University of Arkansas, where he studied Communication and Music. He has directed a church choir and played many shows around town in his own band. Kevin believes that everyone has music in them and teaches his students to find that music and use it. Every musician is different, and Kevin will mentor and help his students individually and in whatever way is best for them.
Stan Watson Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drums Teacher
Since the age of 13, Stan Watson has devoted much of his time to studying and performing guitar. His passion for music drew him to learn other instruments, including drums, piano and bass guitar. Starting with a worship band in junior high, Stan has gone on to play in local bands, giving him great experiences touring and playing with other musicians. With a degree in Communications from the University of Arkansas, and time teaching at local high schools, Stan has developed experience and a skill set for how to work with students while creating a fun learning environment. Stan’s goal is to share his craft with others passionate for music. He is a guitar, bass and drums teacher at School of Rock Fayetteville.
A Fayetteville artist and musician, Stephanie Petet has been creatively engaged in the community for the past seven years showing artwork and performing at local galleries and venues. As a prior public school teacher, Stephanie understands the importance of creating a safe musical climate for students to learn and grow within. She is a guitar, bass and vocal instructor at School of Rock Fayetteville.
