Kevin has loved music ever since he can remember. Growing up in a musical household, there was never a time he wasn't trying to play whatever instrument was lying around. In the past 8 years living in Fayetteville, Kevin has been in many different musical environments. He was in the University of Arkansas Marching Band, directed a church choir, and played many shows around town. Kevin believes that everyone has music in them and will teach his students to find that music and use it! Every musician is different, and Kevin will mentor and grow his students individually and in whatever way is best for the student.

The last 10 years for Austin have consisted of working as a musician playing shows around the state while spending his summers working as a manager of a Summer camp. He found it to be an obvious decision to combine the two things he enjoys most, music and working with kids. No other way to put it, Austin flat out enjoys music and is always trying to widen his musical horizon by listening to as many genres as he can. Being able to share the gift of music and the passion that goes into it is what it’s all about for Austin.

Michael was handed a bass 16 years ago. He accompanied his grandma and uncle playing hymns, country and bluegrass at the age of 13. For Christmas the next year, he received an electric guitar and has never stopped playing it. He went on to play in his college jazz band at College of the Ozarks and several personal projects ranging from punk to folk to metal. Michael played guitar in the Kansas City punk scene for 4 years before moving to Fayetteville to teach at School of Rock. He hopes that all of his students will feel the same connection with music that he does. That they will not see it as a chore, but a fundamental and necessary way to express themselves. Along with teaching music at SOR, he teaches ESL in the NWA area and previously taught English for a year in Vietnam.

Tanner has been a passionate musician ever since he first starting mashing keys on his grandma’s out of tune piano at a very early age, and has been creating music ever since. His musical background is a rather diverse one. He started playing percussion in the concert and marching band in 7th grade, and picked up drums, guitar, and bass along the way. He attended Belmont University for 2 years to get a degree in Music Business before leaving to pursue his own music career. Since that time, he has self-produced and released two albums, participated in many different bands with genres ranging from Folk Punk to Beach Goth, while continuing to improve his musical abilities and knowledge. Tanner hopes to ignite and fan the fires of musical passion he has found in himself in his students as well, while helping them forge the path through their own musical journey.
