Rick Rothschild has lived in Juno Isles for about 25 years with his wife, Heidi, and their two children; Ben (18) and Sydney (14). Always a big fan of rock music, Rick put an electric guitar in his son's hands at a young age and began teaching several of Ben's friends to perform a Beatles song in the school talent show. In doing so, he realized putting the band together was incredibly rewarding and began to see other kids could benefit from performing music. After watching a CNBC show featuring the School of Rock doing this on a much bigger scale, he was hooked and pursued his own school. With his prior experience in the Big Brother program and understanding the value of working with kids, he realized School of Rock was the perfect fit. Rick opened his first school six years ago and still says, "It's the coolest thing ever!" He can often be seen hanging around rock school requesting songs, and giving the kids high fives. Rick's son Ben, a five time All Star and accomplished touring musician, is an instructor at the school, and Sydney is a student there. They both fondly refer to it as their second home. Rick is also a part of our Adult Program as a keyboardist and vocalist."Why should the kids have all the fun?"

''¦The pursuit of tone is my second biggest obsession. The right mix of the perfect tone and a good crowd is very tough to beat!' What makes a musician so versatile?Experience. That's exactly what you get with South Florida's Scott Gailor who brings his discipline of technical prowess and modern emotion to a new tier. Hailing from Saratoga Springs, Scott began making a name for himself through the New York City club circuit before toughing it out touring along the east coast racking up more than 2600 shows. It wasn't long before Scott was recognized nationally as an on the rise talent by coming in 4th out of 750 players in the Guitar Wars Semi-Finals, and regional runner-up in Guitar Center's Guitarmageddon competition. "The first time I heard/saw Scott Gailor play I was 16 years old and I thought he was an alien from outer space! Simply Amazing!' '“JP Soars (JP Soars and the Red Hots, Southern Hospitality, Divine Empire) Whether it has been with Scrooge, Union Jack, Kidd Havok (SunCity Records) or Lauren Krothe, Scott has proven that no matter who he is with, he stands toe to toe with greatness as he has opened for everyone from Yngwie Malmsteen to Dokken, Extreme, and Sebastian Bach. Usually a fickle bunch, the press has even singled Scott out for his 'breakneck speed,' (Metal Edge Magazine) and comparisons to Eddie Van Halen (Hard Rock Haven). From the National, right to the local level, he continues to inspire fans of all ages. " the never-ending pursuit of tone!' Currently you can catch Scott adding atmosphere and slinging licks as part of Lauren Krothe's live band while he puts the finishing touches on his highly anticipated first instrumental release that's sure to be stuck on repeat for days.

Born and raised in the West Palm Beach area, Caitlin Trezise started playing music just before entering kindergarten. While attending both Bak MSOA and Dreyfoos School of the Arts and majoring in violin performance, she found the North Palm Beach School of Rock performance program at the age of 14 and was immediately hooked. After spending almost 4 years in the program as a student, camp counselor, and houseband member, she became proficient in bass, voice, and keys. Now as an instructor and 101 director, she hopes to give kids the amazing experience of learning and performing music that she had as a student.

Born in Lake Worth, FL, Ashley Quinones has been involved in music since she was able to speak. She’s been classically trained since she was young in Choir and various Musical Theatre programs. With Classic Rock becoming a part of her life, thanks to her grandfather and mother playing both Guitar and Bass, and her vocal training, it was time to look into how to combine the two. Under the direction of Fonda Cash, local vocal coach and performer, Ashley gained the stage presence, technique, and repertoire possible to make it in the Rock scene. Ashley joins the School of Rock – South Palm Beach team to teach students how to be vocal superstars!

Testimonios

  • “I have 7 year old twins. It's very hard to find an activity that they both love that they don't get bored with. So, I signed them up at School of Rock in hopes they would learn an instrument and also foster a love for music...and I got so much more. Not only do they love it, but they get to feel like real rock stars and perform live on stage with other kids their age playing classic rock and roll music. Teachers are great, programs are great....Totally amazing in every way! I highly recommend. You MUST see it to believe it! School of Rock SPB- You ROCK! ”
Stephanie Gieder, Parent, South Palm Beach
  • “There is no one word to express my appreciation of School of Rock. This organization has inspired my already thriving young guitarist, Jake. I have witnessed his dedication and passion flourish with the support of his instructor and ever so talented, Dylan Fernandez. He connected so quickly with Dylan, upon having to miss a lesson with him he was not looking forward to a different teacher. However, we learned quickly that each instructor of SOR is exceptional in their own right. He needed advice on a new foot pedal and turned to the expertise of Ross Rucker who listened and guided him to the sound he was looking for. We find encouragement through positive vibes with Alex Mandel who is always, always smiling. Although all of the instructors have their forte it blows my mind when I see the teachers themselves jamming on different instruments. They are absolute professional and true performers. This positive energy follows Jake into our home as we get to enjoy the beauty of “live entertainment” in our own home! ”

  • “I just graduated from my first semester in the adult program. What a great learning experience with fun, talented, and caring teachers, administration, and fellow students. I walked in off the street with a moderate amount of experience in playing and was immediately welcomed, integrated into the concert set list, and taking lessons to support the graduation goal of playing out in public. This local School of Rock has a great product going for both young and adult musicians of any level! Thankful and excited for the next semester and show!”
