Come join us to learn and perform music from one of the most popular punk trios of all time in our Green Day summer camp.

THIS IS AN ONLINE CAMP.

Green Day was one of the most popular and influential bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Their fun, high-energy music helped bring punk into the mainstream. Throughout this 5-day camp, we’ll explore hits from some of their most popular albums, such as “Dookie,” “Warning,” “Insomniac,” “American Idiot” and beyond.

We'll spend Mon-Wed writing songs. On Thursday we'll record each songwriter and their song for a live stream concert on Friday afternoon. Friday morning will be spent on fine-tuning the songs. In addition to songwriting, students will understand how to use a Digital Audio Workstation to collaborate with other musicians.

 

THIS IS AN ONLINE CAMP WITH YOUNG MUSICIANS FROM ACROSS THE UNITED STATES.

Great for students 10-18 years old WITH PREVIOUS music instruction.

 

 PREREQUISITES

 

• To participate in the Green Day Camp, students should have a basic proficiency on their instrument.
• Students need a device to record their song parts for the creation of a full band recording. This can be as simple as a mobile phone with voice memo recording or a DAW such as GarageBand.
• Students need access to their primary instrument at home.

Students not currently enrolled in School of Rock: a free Remote Trial Lesson is required to assess the student for camp placement. (Call us at 952-934-7625 to set this up).
