Dan Beaver Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Dan Beaver started playing bagpipes in elementary school. The first instrument that clicked was an unusual one and would set the precedent for Dan's interest in styles and musical techniques that have become a lost art. At age 14, Dan started playing the guitar after being inspired by David Bowie, The Who and ZZ Top.
Dan has been a guitar teacher and bass teacher at School of Rock Doylestown for the last six years. He has directed upwards of 20 shows and has taught a long list of students who have varied greatly in skill level and age. Dan's specialties include finger-style guitar, slide guitar, country-style picking, funk and blues playing. Dan is also the director of our House Band group, who can be seen performing at many local events throughout the fall and summer.
Outside of School of Rock, Dan plays in his own projects, as well as plays lead guitar in the Pete Hill Band, a folk-rock band based in Bucks County, PA.

Brian Duckett Guitar Teacher
If it has strings, Brian Duckett probably plays it (or tries to). Brian has been playing guitar and various stringed instruments for 35 years. His first guitar lessons as a teen involved rock, classical, blues and jazz. After taking all the music classes he could in high school, he got his bachelor's degree in Spanish at Penn State. At college, he had his first taste of performing live music with other people. Brian has rocked it out in numerous bands in the greater Bucks County, PA area for the last 25 years (sometimes in three bands at a time.... in one night!). His previous bands opened up for greats like The Wailers, The Radiators, Commander Cody, Black 47, Tommy Conwell and others. He was lucky enough to perform in a band with School of Rock's own Dante Cimino for a number of years. Brian has recorded as a member of a band and as an in-demand guest musician for other groups and solo artists. He has continuously encouraged young and beginner musicians throughout his decades of musical experiences. Brian has taught guitar and occasional bass lessons for School of Rock Princeton as well as School of Rock Doylestown for the past two years. He's equally at home cranking up his electric guitars through a tube amp with a bit of distortion or flatpicking some bluegrass and Irish fiddle tunes on his acoustic guitars and mandolins. After seeing his nephew and his friends' children performing at School of Rock over the years, he knew one day he wanted to get involved and give some of his musical knowledge to the next generation of musicians.
