Itâs hard to stop yourself from falling in love with the ukulele. Itâs easy to learn, light as a feather, and playable by even the littlest of hands. For these reasons, the ukulele a fantastic choice for a first instrument⦠and, ultimately, a great stepping stone up to the ukeâs bigger cousin, the mighty guitar!
This six-week course is open to students ages 7 to 12. Students will be taught using the School of Rock Method, which centers around âconcepts in context.â This means that our instructors are trained to teach musical rudiments, scales, and chords as they appear within real songs. This approach gets students playing tunes right from the start, hooking them in and keeping them engaged in the learning process as more complex techniques are introduced. Itâs definitely the most fun way to learn an instrument!
This session will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00, starting September 18. In order to maintain the effectiveness of small group instruction, only six spots are available for this session. A waitlist is available. Each student should bring their own ukulele.
