Adam Gomez was born and raised in Southern California, spending most of his childhood in Los Angeles and then moving to the Inland Empire. He grew up surrounded by many cultures and musical backgrounds while maintaining a love for Punk, Metal and Rock n’ Roll.

After starting a Metal band just out of high school, Adam performed live for several years before deciding to earn his degree in drums and percussion from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. After graduating, he landed a gig with iconic Pop/Punk band The Dickies, which are most known for their late 70’s punk sound, being the first California Punk band to appear on national T.V. and their rendition of “Banana Splits” featured in the movie ‘Kick Ass.’ Since then, he has seen most of the world as official drummer for The Dickies. Adam has also recorded, collaborated and performed with artists such as The Adolescents, D.I., The Motel Life, Tommy Peacock and others. “The Dickies have been through many drummers throughout the years, but Adam G had the best audition, by far. He almost had me at hello. Within 30 seconds; I knew he was the guy.” –Stan Lee (Guitarist/Co Creator, The Dickies)

Education was a huge part of kick starting Adam's take-off as a professional musician. After Graduating from M.I., he has been teaching drums in Southern California, touring parts of the world and continuing to hand down the craft of precision, intelligence, ferocity and touch of a professional drummer to the new generations of kids with the desire to make, learn and rock out to the art of music.

After laying a strong musical foundation, Ludwig stuck with the drum set, playing and performing with local bands No Exceptions and Nightfall, while in high school. Ludwig moved to lead vocals and Nightfall became As Night Falls in '04, recording with Sergio Chavez and Jay Baumgardner (Linkin Park/Avril Lavigne) @ NRG, Hollywood. As Night Falls later toured and disbanded shortly after. Hope Departed was Ludwig's next venture, '06, regularly seen at House of Blues, Viper Room, and The Roxy. After a few years, Nations Afire (formerly Rise Against/Ignite/DeathbyStereo) appointed Steve as their new front man. They toured Europe and the US supporting such groups as Rise Against, NOFX, and Bad Religion, and recording with Cameron Webb (Social Distortion/Motorhead). Ludwig then played drums for local punk band Sederra before joining Fake Figures (Atreyu/TheAfterlife) in 2012. Steve has been teaching at School of Rock Tustin since it's opening in 2013.

Testimonials

  • “There is nothing we know like it. Kids get to really work on performing in a rock band. There is no fluff. They use the time well, and the end result feels real to my child: he's in a rock band, showing off what he can do and enjoying making music.”
    - Gary N.. - Tustin, CA
  • “Everyone is cool. Simple as that. Once you walk through the front door, the world is left behind...”
    — Paul D. - Tustin, CA
  • “I have enjoyed getting to watch my daughter develop her own talents and the encouragement of her teachers have pushed her out of her comfort zone. Which is wonderful and very hard for teenagers. So I'm very appreciative of the supportive environment school of rock Tustin has provided.”
    - Stacy K.- Tustin, CA
  • “High expectations for the kids, with full-blown support to allow them to succeed!”
    - Kerry D. - Tustin, CA
