He quickly moved on to playing guitar and drums, joining his youth group band at the age of 13. Trevor joined a band with his friends as a Freshman in high school and went on to record 3 albums, do a national tour, and play all over Texas opening for bands such as Chevelle, etc. As an adult, he joined a cover band on the side and has played lots of shows all around the Houston area. He loved his time working as a touring musician, but decided to make a change for his own personal growth. In 2013, Trevor had the honor of singing the national anthem at a Houston Dynamo professional soccer game. As an instructor at School of Rock, Trevor's positive energy is reflected in the love his students have for him and his teaching style. He enjoys all different types of music, being influenced by bands such as Muse, Incubus, Silver Chair and Umphrey's McGee. A veteran guitarist, bassist, drummer, percussionist, vocalist, recording engineer, producer, and composer, Marc Reczek (pronounced Wreck-Sick ) has been playing music since he picked up his first guitar at the age of ten. The Houston Press voted him one of the top five guitarists in Houston, Texas. His jazz band was also rated in the top five by the Houston Press (with Reczek on bass).Originally from Vermont, he moved to Houston to attend college and earned a degree in Music Business. He has been a professional musician since the age of fifteen. In addition to his musical talents, he is also an accomplished recording engineer and booking agent, and is well versed in music business, which has honed his band management skills. Reczek's influences come from a variety of sources including The Beatles, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Alice in Chains, Phish, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhardt, Drop Trio, The Grateful Dead, Medeski Martin and Wood, Slide Five, The Beastie Boys, The Beach Boys, and Umphrey's McGee.His rhythmic style is "all in the wrist," describing the clean and percussive approach he takes to writing funk grooves. 'When soloing, he strives to make complete sentences,' says Greg Lizee, an engineer who has worked with Reczek. He sums up his playing by saying "He can shred but doesn't like to very often. He has a particular style that evolves within the music. It very interesting. It's the 'feel' of his playing that makes it distinctive.' Reczek plays all styles including rock, metal, funk, blues, jazz, and everything in between. 'I feel like it is my turn to give back. When I started playing guitar at ten, I went straight into lessons where the instructor taught me theory. I was bored. I had no passion for my instrument. When I started learning songs, my life changed forever!" "That is why I believe so strongly in theSchool of Rockmethod of learning."AtSchool of Rock The Woodlands, we offer performance-based lessons that use learning songs as a catalyst for music education. "We move into theory after he/she has seen and felt how powerful playing music is. This is how I learned. This is how music became a major center in my life and brought me from a small town in Vermont (about 20,000 people) to one of the best players in the fourth-largest city in the United States (metro area over 4 million).'Marc Reczekis theGeneral Manager / Music Director for School of Rock The Woodlandsin Texas. This Houston Area Location is offering performance-based music lessons. My mission - to inspire the WORLD to rock on stage and in life. 'I learned the School of Rock way. You should too.' -

Instructor: Guitar, Bass, Vocals, Keys, Drums Congas Originally from Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico, Aldo moved to Houston 8 years ago. When he was very young, he watched as his father played the guitar. He soon began asking his father for one so he could learn to play. After a long wait, his father surprised him with a guitar he had purchased for $10 from a bus station in Mexico. Aldo was elated and never looked back. As he started middle school, Aldo found that there was not a guitar program offered, so he began playing percussion and keys in Jazz band. Through Jazz band, he learned a great deal of theory that he has applied to all of his music. He enjoys knowing the 'why' behind the music and loves providing the rhythm to someone else's lead. After high school, Aldo joined the music program at Lone Star College where he continued his Jazz training and was exposed to all types of music styles. He has used this knowledge at School of Rock to open the eyes of his students to how music history has influenced today's artists. Aldo joined Los Guerreros de la Musica (LGM) as a bassist in 2013, and they have gone on to tour locally and perform on several television stations. LGM has been nominated for the Houston Press Music Awards, as well as earning the East Texas Music Awards Latin Band of the Year Award in 2013. Loving all types of music, Aldo claims his main influences as The Doors, Jaco Pastorius, Snarky Puppy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, System of a Down and the Houston based soul band, The Suffers. Testimonials

  • “School of Rock has not only taught my daughter how to play music, but has also helped her build confidence and love herself. The staff, students and environment at SoR can be felt every time you walk in, you can tell everyone loves what they are doing. The staff members are mentors that the students look up to. They have taught my daughter so much about music, how to play instruments and the courage to get on stage in front of an audience and sing. My daughter suffered from Major Depressive Disorder and was hospitalized two months prior to starting SoR, I have never felt so helpless as a parent seeing my child feel so depressed, withdrawn and isolated - not wanting to ever come out of her room. Now, she has turned into this PROUD, Fun Loving, HAPPY, Out Spoken Individual. Because of School of Rock, our daughter is always smiling, laughing and enjoying life. SoR will always be highly recommended to anyone I know who has children because I have seen how it has changed our lives!!! ”
    - parent, Kingwood, TX
  • “I love the fact that the kids feel like true musicians and are a part of a band since day one. No other music school offers that. My son's been attending School of Rock since they opened in our area, and everyone there makes a great effort to keep him challenged and motivated. It's a great place for him to learn, grow, have fun and make new friends! ”
-- Maru, Parent, The Woodlands, TX
